Congratulations to William Fox-Pitt and WIN a riding lesson with him

A huge congratulations to Musto rider William Fox-Pitt for winning at Blenheim Horse Trials on Parklane Hawk this weekend, finishing their dressage score on 44.0. 

“I’ve always had faith in him but I didn’t expect him to win, especially not in such a strong field.” said William.  “He is a fantastic horse, he was produced in New Zealand and I haven’t had him long, when you get them like that it can take a while to build a relationship.  He was very quiet when I tried him in New Zealand but he arrived here like a raging wild animal and was generally very unsettled but I kept believing that he would come good.

“I took him to Blair Castle two weeks ago to the 2* which was a whole new experience that got us more together.  He came away from there really relaxed and happy with himself.

“He is a fantastic show jumper but he’s not yet that consistent and can lose his concentration, he’s still very green even though he is 10 he didn’t start eventing till he was 8 but it is all starting to come together now.”
